Celebrating International Women’s Day 2022

To celebrate International Women’s Day we joined with community members and students at a school tree planting event in Masaka District, Uganda.

The event brought together local gender champions, community leaders, women organisations and school students to celebrate International Women’s Day at St. Maria Goreth Mpugwe Primary school.

Along with tree planting, dances, skits and speeches, we were delighted to be able to celebrate the impact of our transformative and gender empowerment initiatives which we have been running in partnership with Masaka Disrtict Land Care Chapter (MADLACC) since 2014.

We were also delighted to use the platform to share about the expansion of our work through the Size of Wales partnership.
