The climate is changing
Together, we can grow a solution
In some of Kenya's most climate-vulnerable regions, communities face recurring cycles of prolonged drought followed by sudden, heavy rainfall.
These extremes threaten livelihoods, damage farmland and wash away precious soil.
But trees can help change that.
For years, International Tree Foundation has worked alongside communities in places like Marsabit and Kitui to restore degraded landscapes. Together, we're planting indigenous trees to stabilise soil, restoring riverbanks to reduce flooding and helping communities adapt to an increasingly unpredictable climate.
Your monthly gift changes lives
Meet Lucy Lealo, a farmer in Marsabit, Kenya.
With support from ITF, Lucy is growing fruit trees that provide food, shade, animal feed and income.
Her farm is becoming greener, more productive and better protected against the challenges of a changing climate.
And Lucy isn't alone.
Across East Africa, communities are restoring their landscapes, growing their livelihoods and creating a better future through trees.
Your monthly gift can support more people like Lucy.
