Shenley Park, nr Radlett

in Watling Chase Community Forest

Shenley Park is situated in the grounds of the former Shenley Hospital and is open to the public free of charge from dawn to dusk.  The Park is managed by the Shenley Park Trust (a charitable Trust) as a local amenity for the rapidly expanding community of Shenley village.  Signposted walks take in some of the historical features of the park, the orchard and wild flower meadows and link up with other local footpaths and cycle routes.

The Walled Garden is open from dawn to dusk every day but will be closed to the general public on occasion for private use or major maintenance.  The Shenley Cricket Centre is on adjacent land.  Shenley Park lies in the centre of Watling Chase Community Forest and has bus connections with St Albans, Borehamwood and Radlett.  Radlett  railway station on the Thames Link line is just two miles away.

All trees will be planted between December and February.

The Dedication Book is kept in the Shenley Park Trust office in the Bothy, just past the greenhouses.  The book includes a plan showing the location of the Family Tree Scheme site.  If you wish to view the book, please telephone the Trust Office on 01923 852629.
